Learning in the app

DuoTecho stores learning progress, lesson completions, practice history, your daily goal and project checklist progress on your device. You do not need an account. This information is used to show your progress and suggest practice. Your device's backup settings may affect whether app data is included in a device backup.

The app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking or an account. If you choose to reset progress in the app, the saved learning history is removed from that installation. If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled on your device by the system. No reminder information is sent to us.

Usage events

To see which lessons work and where people stop, the app sends us short usage events. For example: the app was opened, a lesson was started, the step a lesson was closed on, whether a quiz answer was right, and which daily goal was picked. Each event comes with a random ID made on your device when the app is first opened, the app version, the device model and system version. Our server adds the country the request comes from. It does not store your IP address.

Usage events never include your answers, anything you type, your name, your email or any other ID. They are not linked to you and are not used for advertising.

Crash reports

If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a crash report to Sentry, the service we use to fix bugs. A report contains the error, the app version and device details. It does not include your answers or anything you type.

Lesson updates

When the app opens, it requests a public lesson catalog so reviewed content can be updated. This request does not include your answers, learning progress or an account identifier. The hosting provider receives connection information such as your IP address and requested URL to deliver the catalog. If the request fails or times out, the app uses available cached or bundled content.

External websites and tools

Lessons may link to source material or third-party tools. Opening those links sends you to the relevant provider, whose privacy policy applies. We do not receive access to your accounts with those providers. Avoid entering personal or confidential information into a tool when practicing unless you understand how that provider handles it.

Website and support

When you visit our website, the hosting provider processes connection information needed to deliver the page, such as your IP address and requested URL. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and does not identify you. When you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so that we can respond. Do not include passwords or sensitive personal documents in support requests.

Changes and contact

We update this policy when the product's data practices change. Questions and requests can be sent to [email protected]. Updated 12 October 2026.
